Priyanka Chopra didn’t had much aspiration for modeling or ever dreamed of competing in beauty contests, but her parents, without Priyanka’s knowledge, sent photos of her to the Femina Miss India pageant. On competing, Priyanka won the Femina Miss India-World title and an opportunity to represent her country for the Miss World competition.

Early life
Keeley Hazell was born in Lewisham, London, England, grew up in Grove Park, and attended the Ravensbourne School in Bromley. Her mother, Amber, is a dinner lady and her father, Roy, is a window fitter; they separated when she was thirteen. She has an older sister, Roxanne, and a younger sister, Georgia.
As a teenager, Keeley Hazell was a frequent truant and stayed out late on school nights drinking. She confesses to having only taken five GCSE examinations due to being ejected from several of them; however, she did very well in mathematics and English.
Keeley Hazell currently lives in an apartment in the London Docklands. She has been involved in two automobile accidents, the first of which was in 2005. In the course of a car crash Keeley Hazell hit her face on a door pillar, causing it to swell for a time. In February 2006, she smashed her Mini Cooper into a lamp post. She suffered no major injuries, but says she did fear for her life.
In January 2006, Keeley Hazell made headlines when Chelsea F.C. football player Joe Cole was beaten up at a party held at her Grove Park house. She spoke to The Sun in March, denying rumours surrounding the incident.
In early January 2007, a sex tape of Hazell and ex-boyfriend Lloyd Miller was released on the internet. The video was shot whilst the couple was on holiday in Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain during the previous year, on or about 30 May.
Following the tape's leak, Keeley Hazell was reported to have been very upset, and she called the police in an attempt to find out who leaked the tape. She also "obtained an injunction on grounds of privacy preventing any further publication or promotion of the video" though the video is still widely available on the Internet.
Modelling
At sixteen years of age, Keeley Hazell left school to work as a hairdresser. Her colleagues persuaded her to try her luck at modelling (she later quit hairdressing) and enrolled at Lewisham College to start a City & Guilds in fashion, but was not at the college for very long. At seventeen, she competed in The Daily Star's "Search for a Beach Babe" contest and won. A friend told her about The Sun's Page 3 Idol competition. Despite some initial uncertainty about entering the contest, she submitted some photos. She was eventually chosen the winner in December 2004. She won £10,000 worth of "sexy clothes" and "a one-year membership of the Rex cinema and bar". Three cast sculptures were made of her bust by sculptor Leigh Heppell. Two are in the Sun offices and one is in her house.
Another part of Hazell's Page 3 Idol win was a one-year exclusive glamour modelling contract with The Sun. She is currently being handled by Jon Fowler.
Hazell is regularly featured in Zoo and continues to appear in The Sun at least once every two weeks. She has been on the cover of The Sun's 2006 and 2007 Page 3 calendars, in addition to her own 2006 and 2007 wall calendars, the latter of which sold 30,000 in its first days of release.
Hazell was once offered a chance to appear in Playboy, but declined because she was not comfortable doing a full nude shoot.

Her mother, Usha Sawant, had no such qualms however, having herself received offers to act in Gujarati cinema. After her first role, she gave up acting at her husband's insistence, but harboured hopes that her children would make it big in the industry.
After Sawant insisted on continuing her career, her father left home in protest, and now lives alone in a Government apartment. He visits his wife, who lives with Sawant, only on festivals. Sawant is now effectively the head of the household. Her sister Jaya also acted in two films but quit after her marriage. Rakesh is a director awaiting the release of his controversial debut Hot Money, which stars his sister. Rakesh lives with his wife in an apartment purchased by his sister, who is also funding his career.
Sawant has attracted a great deal of attention by appearing on stage and screen in very skimpy outfits. While this has increased her popularity, it has caused her to face flak from many quarters. In May 2006, she was booked for obscenity by the Kolhapur Police, after a stage show in the city. She was let off with a warning. A month later, she was again in the news when she filed a molestation case against pop singer Mika, younger brother of Daler Mehndi, who forcibly kissed her at his birthday party, where she was a guest.
